Changes are coming

Well, it saddens me to say,"winter is over". Don't get me wrong. I like the spring, but I love winter. Even though I got up to the mountains for 10 days of skiing, I wanted more. The last day, my son and I skied, (beginning of March) he asked, "Can we ski everyday next season?" I wish we could, but that would mean we'd have to move. That's not going to happen.

So, out with one season and in with another. For my wife that means allergy season. For me, it's trail running and mountain biking. In fact, last week's great weather got us out on the trails a few times. This weather has really given me the spark I needed, to take off those extra pounds that have crept up over the last year or so. I've been running pretty regularly, even though my weekly mileage is low. Since my last post, I've taken about 8-10 lbs off. Two weeks ago, I ran "The Snowball 5 Miler" with one of my buddies. I was pleasantly surprised with my time.

The changing of the season has gotten me thinking of the beach. We got our surf tag, so we will soon be surf fishing down at Cape Henlopen State Park. It's always a blast even if we don't catch anything.

Ok, enough with all the blah, blah, blah.
